Programme of Study
All boys at KS3 are issued with a 250-page textbook to keep at home during the school year. Our scheme of work is written to cover the National Curriculum for Science and also support the whole school literacy initiative and makes extensive use of the textbook for homework and revision.
Ways in which parents can help
Discussing topical issues.
Asking questions.
Explaining scientific principles around the home.
Encouraging wider scientific reading.
Watching television programmes such as "Tomorrow's World" together.Visiting the Science Museum.
Insisting on good English and orderly presentation of work.
Purchasing suitable revision guides available from the department.
