Match Report by Elliott Osbaldstone

Sports Centre – 31st October 2006

Bellemoor came into their latest match with Noadswood undefeated and therefore expecting to win against a Noadswood side they know little about – Bellemoor started the game brilliantly forcing the Noadswood keeper into making several saves early on. Bellemoor sustained their early pressure and were rewarded when a well worked move from the Bellemoor midfield produced a great opportunity for Bellemoor’s Jordan Wheeler who dispatched a right footed shot past the Noadswood keeper into the bottom left corner of the net, and as soon as the first goal went in - the floodgates opened for Bellemoor.

Bellemoor from then on were relentless and Tom Strong saw himself on the score sheet with a powerful drive. Also an unlikely goal from defender Craig Driver from a corner sent Bellemoor further in front.

A truly bizarre goal then followed as Bellemoor’s Luke Masterton saw his cross turned in by a Noadswood defender. Noadswood provided a little problem for the Bellemoor defence, but when they did manage to carve out a chance they were foiled by confident goal keeping by Bellemoor’s Liam Finley - just added to the score with a superb left footed strike from outside the penalty area, that looped into the top left corner of the net. Bellemoor then created other chances with shots going into the half time break with a marvellous 5-0 lead.

With the night sky closing in, in the second half, minutes were reduced, but Bellemoor still had time to add to the score – yet again! Crisp passing from the Bellemoor midfield resulted in a chance for forward – Steven Harris who dispatched a right-footed shot past the on-coming Noadswood keeper!

There was still time for two more goals for Bellemoor the most note able of which a superb Tom Strong – volley formed by an inch perfect cross by Jordan Wheeler. By the time the final whistle went, the score was 8-0 to Bellemoor, a fair reflection of how domineering and ruthless Bellemoor were.
